Colleges for your rank

How it works: a seat is listed when the last rank admitted in the 2025 final phase for your category and seat type was at or beyond your rank. Girls are also eligible for boys’ seats, so for girls the later of the two last ranks is used. Source: the TGEAPCET-2025 Last Rank Statement, Final Phase (official PDF), read 1 October 2026. Special-reservation seats (PH, NCC, sports, CAP), minority quotas and spot admissions are not in that statement.

How to read this list

Last year’s ranks are a guide, not a promise — three things to know.

Last year is a guide, not a promise. The statement itself says it “shall in no way reflect the rank upto which seat can be allotted in the present academic year”. Last ranks move every year with the number of seats, new branches and how candidates fill their options.

Close calls are worth an option. Seats that closed a little before your rank in 2025 can open up in 2026. Put a few above your expected range when you exercise options — counselling allots the highest option you qualify for.

Local and non-local seats are mixed together. Under G.O.Ms. No. 42 (2009), 15% of seats are filled first on combined merit, then 85% with local candidates only. The statement gives one last rank per category, so it can’t show the two separately.

Common questions

Where does the data come from?

From the TGEAPCET-2025 Last Rank Statement, Final Phase, published on the official counselling site (official PDF). All 951 rows were read from it and checked twice against the PDF; none are typed by hand.

Why do girls see more colleges?

Girls are eligible for both boys’ and girls’ seats, so for girls the predictor uses whichever of the two last ranks is later. Women-only colleges appear only for girls.

Does it include management or NRI seats?

No. The statement covers convener-quota seats in counselling. Management, NRI, special-reservation (PH, NCC, sports, CAP) and spot-admission seats are not in it.

Is my rank stored?

No. The whole statement loads with the page and the search runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
