Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026.
In short: the calculators collect nothing — every calculation happens on your own device. There are no accounts; we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. There are no tracking cookies. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send by email, and — if you buy a poster or card — the payment details Razorpay shares with us.
1. Who we are
This policy covers qynto.tech (“Qynto”, “we”, “us”). The Data Fiduciary for the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) is Akshay Varma, who runs qynto.tech under the name Qynto, India. Contact for anything in this policy: contact@qynto.tech.
2. What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nothing | Using any calculator, or making a poster or card (it is drawn on your device) | — | — |
| Name, email, phone, order and payment ID, amount (never your card, UPI or bank details) | You buy a poster or card, or a chai, through Razorpay | To confirm the payment, help with downloads and refunds, and keep tax records | As long as tax law requires records to be kept |
| Name, email address, phone (if given), business details, message | You email us or use a contact form (which opens your own email app) | To reply, give a quote or deliver a Studio project | Enquiries: up to 12 months. Clients: for the project and as long as tax law requires invoices to be kept |
| Anonymous visit data: page, referring site, country, device type, page speed | Every visit | To see which tools are used and which pages are slow (Cloudflare Web Analytics — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no profile) | Kept by Cloudflare in aggregate |
| Technical request data (IP address, browser, page, time) | Every visit | Processed by our host to deliver pages and block attacks | Per the host’s own retention |
We do not sell personal data or use it for profiling, and we do not show targeted advertising.
3. Data stored only on your device
Some tools remember what you typed — the theme switch, the bunk planner and the placement checker — using your browser’s local storage. That data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clear your browser’s site data, or use the “Clear” buttons, to remove it.
4. Legal basis and consent
When you email us, you give that information voluntarily for a specific purpose (a reply or a quote). Under section 6 of the DPDP Act we treat that as your consent for that purpose only, and under section 7 some processing is also allowed for purposes you have voluntarily provided the data for. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to contact@qynto.tech; withdrawal does not affect anything done before it.
5. Who else processes data
- Cloudflare hosts the website and processes request data to deliver pages and protect the site, and counts visits through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
- Hostinger provides the email service for @qynto.tech addresses, so emails you send are stored with them.
- Razorpay processes payments for posters and cards. You pay on Razorpay’s own checkout, under Razorpay’s privacy policy; we never see your card, UPI or bank details.
These providers may process data on servers outside India. We use them only as processors for the purposes above.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used; correct, complete or update it; erase it when it is no longer needed; and nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapable. You can also raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Email contact@qynto.tech with the subject “Privacy request” — we will reply within 30 days.
7. Children
The calculators collect no personal data, so anyone can use them. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf rather than sending us your personal details yourself; the DPDP Act requires verifiable parental consent before we process a child’s data.
8. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS with a strict Content Security Policy and no third-party scripts. Email accounts are protected by strong passwords. If a personal data breach ever affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the DPDP Rules require.
9. Advertising (not active)
There are no ads today. If ads are added later, this policy will be updated first, and you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set where the law requires it.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes and the change is noted on the home page. Grievances about privacy go to the Grievance Officer on the Contact & Grievances page.
This policy is also intended to meet section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, for as long as they apply.
