Target CGPA calculator
Name the CGPA you want. This tells you the average you need from here — and says so plainly when a target is no longer reachable.
—
How it’s worked out: needed average = (target × total credits − current CGPA × credits done) ÷ credits remaining. It uses credits because CGPA is weighted by them — a heavy semester moves it more than a light one. Your university’s rounding decides the final figure.
Common questions
Why does it ask for credits, not semesters?
Because CGPA is weighted by credits. A 24-credit semester moves it more than a 16-credit one, so a semester count alone gives a quietly wrong answer.
What if it says “Not reachable”?
It means you would need an average above 10. The tool then shows the best CGPA you can still finish on, so you have a real number to aim for.
